VALIDATION LAB
Will the new product or service work?
For those with an idea who don't want to bet in the dark: targeted validation on the real market, to understand whether it makes sense to invest at scale.
Know the answers before investing
Before launching a new product, service or platform, you need to understand whether the market is there, whether the idea is clear and whether the promised value matches a real need. Validation helps to check these hypotheses, or hopes, and to gather enough information to decide whether an idea deserves a bigger investment.
What you get
At the end of the pilot project you will have a clear idea of the potential, and a body of evidence to decide whether to continue, correct course or stop, along with real numbers to build a business plan on, and qualitative data to improve the project.
Whatever the outcome, the result is an understanding that relies less on intuition and is geared to reducing risk before the project becomes too big.
When you need it
- When you have a product or service idea and don't know whether the market will take it up.
- When you have to choose between several development directions and don't want to invest in all of them.
- When you want to measure purchase desire, intention to use or perceived price.
- When you want to know whether a hypothesis is worth developing before opening a new team.
- When you want to gather real data to build a solid business plan on.
We don't look for confirmation. We look for evidence in the real world, enough to decide the next step.
How we work
Hypotheses
We start by analysing and defining the most critical hypotheses: what the value proposition is, who the audience is, and how we will measure success. We don't try to write a perfect plan, but to identify the most important foundations to check.
Experiment
We build a fast, measurable test: we set up "laboratory" tools and campaigns, designed to be as simple as possible and to give practical answers.
Evidence
We collect data, feedback and concrete signals. We don't try to convince ourselves, but to obtain data that is as statistically reliable as possible, and to understand.
When it is not the right service
Validation Lab is not the right service if you already have an established product and are only looking to optimise traffic or conversion rate. In that case the work is more focused on performance, measurement and continuous improvement.
If instead you have to decide whether to start or not, validation is the quickest way to find out whether it is worth continuing.
If you want to understand whether this approach can help you reduce risk before investing, let's talk.
